I started rooting for the Oakland Raiders in 1974 when I was living in Ontario, CA.  I would take the Greyhound bus by myself from Pomona and catch the Amtrak in Bakersfield.  My Grandma, who lived in Alameda at the time, would pick me up in Hayward or Oakland, I can’t remember.  We would go see the Raiders and A’s play a few times a year.  Then, when the Raiders moved to LA, I would go see them a few times a year also.

I joined the Marines in 1990, While there be it overseas in Okinawa and Desert Storm I would try hard not to miss a game wearing my Bart Simpson in Raiders gear or my Bo Jackson shirt.  Later in 1991 I transferred to Camp Pendleton.  Now I could go back to the LA Coliseum to see my Raiders.  That’s when I met a man who inspires me to the day, “Violator”.  I told him when I grow up, I wanted to be just like him.  He told me “Just be original”.

I would read all the Raiders book from Maddens “One knee equals two feet” to Cruising with the Tooz”.  There I read the Raiders original name was the Senors.  A few years later, the Raiders moved back to Oakland.  In 1997, I had an opportunity to move up here, so I took it.  I went to a few games that year and remembered what the tailgates were like the first time around.

The next year I got my season tickets and got my “Starter Kit” for my new outfit.  It consisted of my High school shoulder pads, a Raider jersey with Camacho stitched on the back, Black Locs, some black shorts and a grey Oakland bandana.  Over the Years I have added My Senor 69 Black Authentic Jersey, Real Raider pants, Linemans gloves, Hawaiian beads with Raider helmet and skull, Underarmor to keep me cool, black Corona sombrero, and my signature 64 oz black mug.

Over the years I have made many lifelong friends because of our dedication to our team.  We are one big family.  And family sticks together….Viva Los Raiders!!!
